The Netflix adaptation of the video game franchise,Castlevania, has been a surprising success. It attracts old fans and new ones alike with its gorgeous visuals and enticing characters. Most agree that the characters are even more fleshed out than their game counterparts.

One such person who has caught every fan’s interest is Adrian “Alucard” Țepeș. The half-vampire, half-human offspring of Dracula has been a fan favorite of theCastlevaniafranchise for decades, but the Netflix version has converted the anime community.
Sam and Adam Deats have made some significant and subtle changes to Alucard’s character. He’s younger, canonically bisexual, and struggles with his vampire heritage more openly. He’s tragic and relatable rather than a stoic dhampir.

Alucard’s potential love interest inCastlevaniawasn’t Maria Renard, surprisingly, but Greta, the leader of Danesti village. Fans are more inclined towards Greta since Maria was only 16 years old. However, their romance in Season 4 only showed their attraction and nothing else.
Castlevaniafans adored Greta and Alucard and want to see more
The relationship between the two doesn’t start with immediate attraction. They build mutual respect. Greta, even as the headwoman and protector of Danesti, is initially suspicious of Alucard but grows to admire him instead, not minding his half-vampire side.
In the season 4 ending ofCastlevania,Alucard finds a new purpose beyond his castle. He vows toprotect humanity, the opposite of what his father did, and that’s how we conclude his story. Fans might’ve loved his banter with Greta but only one season of them wasn’t enough.

It was undeniably a bit rushed, wishing they had met in Season 3 instead of havingthe storyline with Sumi and Taka. However, it’s also a great opportunity for a spin-off series to explore what Alucard did before Nocturne and if he pursued a romance with Greta.
If we could get a lil 1 hour 30 min continuity film including what happened with them in the Village of Træffy I would sprout WINGS.

Castlevaniafans also share their thoughts and love on their arc.
it’s 1:58 in the fucking morning i shouldn’t be crying this hard what the fuck

if only we had had more greta scenes 😭 she was a pretty good character
I love Greta sm, I wish they would have given us how their relationship develops 😭😭
The hand holding….the hand holding….something about Adrian and holding hands….
GRETACARD MENTIONED🙏🙏
While their pairing isn’t for everyone, Alucard opening his heart to Greta would be something to witness. We already know he’s had many loversand isn’t afraid to show passion. Maybe Warren Ellis can find some kindness in his heart to give us this spin-off.
Would Alucard pursue a romance with Greta?
Considering there has been no mention of her inCastlevania: Nocturne,it implies they probably didn’t end up together for a very long time, though it does have a 300-year time skip.
However, their witty banter and budding friendship that was definitely hinting at something more could signify they must’ve at least tried. However, Greta is the headwoman of Danesti. She’s independent and wouldn’t limit herself to settling down with someone.
Castlevania: We Shouldn’t Ignore the Misfortune of Alucard’s Life Because of His Relationship With Trevor and Sypha
Alucard, on the other hand, is immortal. She might be one of many partners he’s had. Only a few have left an impression onCastlevaniafans as Greta did. It was a gentle, subtle love that very few dark fantasy romances explore.
Castlevaniais available on Netflix.
