Bushiroadhas confirmed during its New Year Grand Presentation that starting with the upcoming premiere of Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 2, the anime iteration of the “D Series” will continue for nine consecutive seasons, until December of 2025.
Bushiroad announced the news during a special event held on Monday, revealing that it will produce up to nine seasons, each to air by the end of 2025. Last year, the Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress anime was confirmed to continue into 2023 with the second season in Winter and the third season in Summer. But this time Bushiroad expanded its plans to continue the series and published a roadmap showcasing different timelines for each season.
For those unfamiliar, the “D Series” officially started with the first two seasons of the Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress anime back in April 2021. Afterwards, the Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress anime’s first season, which aired in the summer of 2022, was considered the third overall season of the “D Series”. That means Bushiroad will publish the remaining six seasons on different times and platforms by the end of 2025. Keep in mind that the Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress anime’s forthcoming second season will be considered the fourth overall in the “D Series”.

Going into further detail, the D Series' fifth season will air in July 2023 while the sixth season will premiere around early 2024. The series' seventh season is slated to begin in the middle of 2024 while the eighth season will debut around early 2025. Lastly, the D Series' ninth season is targeting a summer 2025 release, which will also mark the end of the long-running anime.
Ryutaro Suzuki will take over the directorial duties from Ken Mori, who will be promoted to the chief director position. Satoshi Nakamura will replace Natsuko Takahashi in the production house by writing the script, while Tomokatsu Nagadaku and Hiroyuki Saita will take the role of the character designer.
The main voice cast includes Yuuki Ono as Danji Momoyama, Shouta Aoi as Yuuyu Kondou, Yuuma Ichuda as Touya Ebata, and Amane Shindou as Megumi Ookora. Among the other cast members is Masahiro Itou as Zakusa Ishigame, Hikaru Toono as Tomari Seto, and Yuki Nakashima as Mirei Minae.
The second season of the Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress anime will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, and U-NEXT on January 14.Crunchyrolland HIDIVE will stream the season as it debuts in Japan.
