The last time Asano spoke about a third gamewas back in 2015when he stated that if sales forBravely Secondwere good, he would pitch a third title immediately. But now, on his official Twitter, he can finally share a few words about this game that he’s most likely been working on for years:

The tweet reads as follows (translated bySiliconera): “We finally were able to announce it! For those who’ve been waiting all this time, I apologize, and I’d like to thank you. People reacted so loudly that all our staff are pumped up to work on this game. This account will be passed to Producer Takahashi and the PR team to handle for a while, but please look after us going forward as well.”

Next the composer Revo wrote (also translated bySiliconera):

To all fans, I’m back. I’m happy to be able to participate in this hakoniwa-style world again.

The graphics have kept that sort of warm, hand-crafted look, but in even beautiful graphics. For the music, in order to better represent the atmosphere, I’m tackling this task with all my courage.

The music used in the teaser trailer was grand orchestral music, but there are also band-style musical pieces that charges forward passionately, intricate traditional-sounding music pieces, and a wide range of music that may sound nostalgic, but also fresh at the same time.

I can only say that I hope you can play the game as soon as possible. Please look forward to it!

It’s wonderful that this excellent franchise is finally getting its third installment. If you’re interested in seeing a brief teaser, you can check out that reveal trailerhere. Mostly, the trailer was just backgrounds of gorgeous art and text telling us that the game is being developed by Team Asano, the developers behind theBravelyseries andOctopath Traveler.

At the very tail end of the trailer, we get a quick look at what appears to be an in-game scene. It’s just a super basic panning shot of what are presumably the protagonists, but it gives you an idea of what expect in terms of graphics.
