A store listing for a nativePlayStation 5version ofBloodbornebriefly appeared on the platform’s storefront earlier this week, once again giving fans false hope of a potential remake.
The incorrect store listing could be found via the PlayStation Stars section of the PlayStation store, which is slowly being restored around the worldafter being down for an entire month. The incorrect listing was quickly picked up by fans around the world, who took to Reddit to share their confusion and potential excitement.

Lies of P Is Bloodborne And Sekiro Combined, And It’s Awesome
Lies of P is a Bloodborne-steampunk adventure with intense parry-based combat.
The error can be seen when navigating to Bloodborne: The Old Hunters DLC, where it is incorrectly listed as ‘PS5’ instead of ‘PS4’. Unfortunately, it’s clear that this is just a labelling error as when you click through to the DLC, it is then correctly listed as the PS4 version.

The error was immediately clear to most of the community, but some fans who are remaining hopeful let themselves believe that this error wasn’t accidental. “My question is, has any other PS4 game had the same mistake and if not it can’t be a coincidence that Bloodborne of all games got it,“one userquestioned on X (formerly Twitter). Whileanother usersaid, “I [don’t] think this is [a] mistake, this is [a] teaser.”
Sadly, this is likely nothing more than just a labelling error on PlayStation’s part, but it sure is unfortunate that out of all the games available on the store, it had to be Bloodborne.

This also isn’t the first time that Bloodborne fans have been “trolled” by Sony into thinking a remake or sequel was on the way. Earlier this year, PlayStation officially announced Astro Bot, a new platforming title featuring everyone’s favourite little bot. It was the standout game of the PlayStation State of Play, but its preorder bonusesleft many Bloodborne fans feeling trolledyet again.
Despite the constant rumors and trolls by PlayStation, there’s still yet to be any official word on any new Bloodborne content. While fans continue to beg for sequel or remake, some are just simply asking for a PC port. Unfortunately, that also seems unlikely. Last month, FromSoftware boss Hidetaka Miyazaki saidhe would “love” to bring the title to PC, but it is Sony who holds the rights to the title, which means it’s their decision on what happens with it.
