CelebratingGossip Girl’s10th anniversary, Safran reflected on filming the show in Los Angeles. And the producer alsoshared a brief insight into Lively’s romancewith Leonardo DiCaprio, revealing her quirky habit of sending doll photos to him.
“When I think about shooting the L.A. episodes, Blake was dating [DiCaprio] at the time,”he toldVanity Fairduring the interview before further explaining,
She had this thing where she had a doll that she took photos of that she sent to Leo.
“Blake was way ahead of the curve,”he further stated before explaining,“It was pre-Instagram. She was documenting her life in photographs in a way that people were not yet doing.”

Lively replied,
[They are] absolute titans as writers and storytellers outside of their primary gig. They also know I’m not always as good at making sure I’m seen and utilized for fear of threatening egos, or fear of affecting the ease of the process. They don’t give a shit about that.
If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for.
