Set in ancient China with roots deep into the lore of Journey to the West, the eponymous novel follows the Monkey King, Sun Wukong on his epic journey full of legendary creatures spawned in Chinese mythology, and the pursuit of enlightenment.
The game itself is a cultural milestone of the entire nation, and the studio behind it received funding from several investors, including Chinese tech giant Tencent and mobile game publisher Hero Entertainment.
