The Battlefield 6 open beta’s early access first day managed to reach an all-time peak of 334,000 players onSteamalone. Again, it’s worth noting that this is not the actual open beta, as early access requires a key to participate, and it’s not even the weekend too.
This doesn’t even count the player numbers on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which are bound to be at least comparable to that number.
In comparison, the latest Battlefield game, Battlefield 2042, only managed to hit an all-time high of 107,000 on Steam. Yeah, it’s a beta vs. a full-priced game, but still, the gulf in interest is massive.
Mind, I’m not that surprised given evenwhen the beta wasn’t even up yet, it had people queuing up! Perhaps checking the settings or hoping DICE opens it a bit early? Regardless, people are really excited for a new miltiary shooter.

Chances are, this number will be even higher come the weekend, given there’s no early access code requirement, and the weekend should free up a lot of people’s time to actually play.
My prediction is the BF6 beta will breach 500,000 players easy, with EA announcing it’s the biggest Battlefield beta reception ever (since it is).
