How To Solve The Silent Library Puzzle
When you reach the bottom part of theGauntlet of Shar, you will be stuck inside the Silent Library. Here, you have toopen a path via the pedestal, but there will be no apparent way to do that. To solve this puzzle, you first need to open the big gate by rolling the dice, and inside, you will see the pedestal.
When you interact with the pedestal, your character will say,“What can silence the night"as the words appear on top of the pedestal. This will also show that you have to place an item on top of it to get ahead in the game.
You need a book called “Teaching of Loss: The Nightsinger” that you’re able to get in that area.
To get the book, head back out of the big door at Soft-Step Trail. From here, head to the right side andinteract with the third shelfin the line of shelves. You can pick the book from this shelf. Once you have the book, head back to the pedestal and place it on top of it.
This will open the door in front of you, where you will get a lot of loot, including a chest,Spear of Night,Dark Justice Half-Plate, and more. Remember: there will be some enemies, and the bookshelf itself will explode, but if you are careful, this is an easy — and worthwhile — treasure to loot.
