Patch 8 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is giving eachclass a new subclass, encouraging yet another playthrough for people who have finished the game. In the case of the Cleric, the new subclass is the Death Domain, granting the caster mastery over Necrotic damage.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is adding the Toll the Dead Cantrip fromDungeons & Dragons, which forces a Wisdom Saving Throw. If the target is at full health, Toll the Dead deal 1-8 points of damage, but if they’re taken even a single hit points worth of damage, then that range increases from 1-12. Toll the Dead also gets stronger as the caster levels up.
The earlyversion of Patch 8that was available revealed that Death Domain Clerics gain access to the Reaper ability, allowing them to target an additional opponent with a Necromancy Cantrip, which would work with Toll the Dead.
