Despite what its name might imply, the Potion of Speed doesn’t just make your characters faster, though that is indeed one of its effects.The Potion of Speed doubles the user’s movement speed while also granting them a +2 bonus to Armor Class and Advantage on Dexterity Saving Throws.Even more importantly,the Potion of Speed grants the user one extra Action Point.
The effects of the Potion of Speed last for three turns, giving the user a massive advantage in combat. The only caveat is thatthe user becomes Lethargic once the potion’s effects end. Lethargic is a negative status effect that prevents characters from taking any Actions, Bonus Actions, or Reactions for one turn. verify you take those drawbacks into account before you decide to use one of these potions.

How To Learn The Potion Of Speed Recipe
The recipe for the Potion of Speed can be learned pretty early on bygathering three Hyena Ears and using them to extract Ashes of Hyena Ear.You’ll find a fair amount of Hyenas and Gnolls north of theBlighted Villagethat drop the ingredients you need. Of course, you could also simply buy Hyena Ears from merchants instead.
As soon as you extract some Ashes of Hyena Ear you’ll automatically unlock the Potion of Speed recipe in the Alchemy menu.To create a Potion of Speed, all you need to do is combine those Ashes with any type of Salt. attempt to avoid using Salts of Musk Creeper if possible because you’ll need those to craftPotions of Superior Healing.
