Developed by Reissad Studio,Bodycamis yet to get an official release date but is being added to the wishlist by a record number of gamers already, overtakingAvowedand other highly anticipated games of 2024. The trailer forBodycamshowcases ultra-realistic gameplay, as the game makes the most of the engine to the maximum.

Bodycamhas the potential to set the benchmark for the future of PvP shooter games as gamers wait to get their hands on a beta testing copy, which isn’t likely to happen in the coming months as the game is still in a pre-alpha testing phase.
Bodycam is Wishlisted More than Avowed and Killing Floor 3
According toSteamDB,Bodycamis currently wishlisted by well over 41,000 gamers, even if a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. That number is more than the number of wishlists made for titles likeAvowedandKilling Floor 3.
The gameplay in the teaser shows lighting, color reproduction, and high framerates coming together to show a Team Deathmatch in progress that looks as close to reality as possible. The first-person shooter shows players take on each other as squads or solo, sneaking through crumbling buildings and ruins, and shooting down enemies.

Even the sound reproduced by pistols, automatic weapons, and shotguns is unsettlingly convincing. The disorienting head turns when the pistols reach the edge of the screen, and the realism will force players to spend a lot of time before adjusting to the demands of the game.
Avowed is still one of the most anticipated games of the year, but the fact that a small title likeBodyCamwas able to surpass a AAA release such asAvowedis mindblowing.

BodyCam Was Created by Two Teenagers, Will Require a Powerful Rig
As per the Steam description, the game is said to be the product of two teens aged 17 and 20. The game is also now said to be still in the alpha development stage, so a release isn’t expected for at least another year. There’s also mention that the game will require a powerful system to render the frames the way it is intended for maximum realism while playing without any lags.
The recommended system requirements suggest using either an Intel i7 10th gen or an AMD Ryzen 7 3800x paired with 16GB of RAM. The GPU requirements include either an RTX 3060 (12 GB) or an AMD Radeon RX 6600, but in terms of storage, surprisingly, only 30GB is mentioned as being required.

The minimum requirements are just a shade below the required settings but will not be recommended if gamers want the full experience of dizzying realism while shooting down enemy squads.
Bodycamis said to have completed initial rounds of playtests, collecting valuable feedback from those who tested the game. This would ideally mean there wouldn’t be an update until all the feedback is taken into consideration to make the changes required and implement them in the game before moving onto the beta testing phase.

Bodycamhas the potential to set the benchmark for future first-person tactical shooter games, as the future titles will all look to take inspiration. Apart fromAvowed,Bodycamalso ranks higher thanStormgateat the moment on SteamDB and is set to go up the charts once the game gets closer to release.
