The Boysis one of the most successful TV shows in today’s time, and has given us some of the most superpowered beings in the world of television. And the leader of the Seven, Homelander, played by Antony Starr, is probably the most powerful of them all. Add to that how Starr portrays this menacing character, it proves to be a treat for all.

The show recently gave way to a spin-off, equally as successful, in the form ofGen V. With some more powerful entities added to the list, the new show has some pretty interesting characters. One of them is Marie Moreau, the main protagonist ofGen V,  played by Jaz Sinclair. And her power seems to be inspired by a very popular anime that is releasing a live-action adaptation, soon – Avatar: The Last Airbender.

OneThe BoysUniverse Superhero is Inspired FromAvatar: The Last Airbender

InAvatar: The Last Airbender, one of the strongest female characters, Hama, first reveals Bloodbending. Though Hama is a waterbender, in time, she molds her power so that she can bend her own or the blood in other people’s bodies, if they are in her eyesight. She made Katara, another waterbender, learn how to bloodbend, becoming some of the rarest benders in the Avatar universe, who can bloodbend.

Gen V‘s Marie Moreau’s power is also similar to that of bloodbending. Her superpower is the ability to psychically control blood, whether hers or anyone else’s, who’s within eyesight, very similar to what Hama showed to be her bending abilities inAvatar. But there are some differences as well, as we have seen in the Amazon Prime Show.

How Bloodbending inAvataris Different FromGen V‘s Superpower

Jaz Sinclair‘s Marie Moreau can psychically control anyone’s blood – whether internal or external – if they are in her eyesight. But inAvatar, Hama and Katara have only been shown to manipulate or “bend” blood internally, in someone’s body. Moreau, though, has manipulated blood to give it shape and form, as seen when she made sharp objects out of blood to kill someone.

TheChilling Adventures of Sabrinaactress plays one of the most loved characters in the show, but in contrast has one of the most deadly powers. When she blows Cate’s hands off right after using blood as throwing knives, fans couldn’t help but be in awe of her character and her powers. In fact, the show even confirmed that, if Marie learns how to utilize her powers to the full extent, she could even surpass Homelander as the most powerful being inThe Boysuniverse.
