After going through a brief rehabilitation period and recovering from her loss, Naoe sets out to defeat her first two targets of the malicious Onryo group inAssassin’s CreedShadows.
One of those targets is the Golden Teppo, an unnamed woman who shot at Naoe the night her father died. And it’s high time she and the rest of her accomplices faced their consequences.

Here’s When You’ll Be Able To Download And Start Playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows After Multiple Delays
Anyone who pre-ordered on Xbox can pre-load now.
It isn’t going to be easy because you’ll need to complete a series of sub-questswith annoying objectives along the way to eventually track her down and put her out of comission.
But with this extensive walkthrough guide I’ve prepared for the Golden Teppo, you should have no problem finishing your first set of Onryo targets.

This questline was done under the Canon Mode implications, which automatically picks some story-based choices.
Searching Sakai
The Gunsmiths
The main intel suggests that the woman is in Sakai, a small port settlement in western Settsu. The majority of your quests for the Golden Teppo will take place here.
Your first order of business is tracking down a lead, and one of the big names here is Imai Sokyu,a merchant and aspiring tea master.

Luckily, we learn the whereabouts of a couple of lowly gunsmiths who are looking to make a quick buck via counterfeit contracts to trade in with Imai Sokyu’s son.
Their exact location is shown in the images above. Get there and eavesdrop on them to catch their plans in the act.

After your brief cutscene to try and intimidate them, you’ll need to chase after Asajiro and assassinate him to snatch the contracts. This will allow Naoe to pose as a Trader in front of Imai Sokyu and his son.
Meeting Imai Sokun & Imai Sokyu
Prepare for a part where my colleague and I got coincidentally stuck for a good hour. And no, it’s not just you who disliked executing the clues mechanic for the quest objectives.
Imai Sokyu and his son’s exact location is showcased in the images above. They’re sitting indoors, and the game won’t even explicitly mark the quest marker until you approach right in front of them.

You’re escorted out by Sokun, who explains to Naoe that she first needs to meet Sokyu’s tea ceremony requirements to have an audience with him, which means learning the right etiquette and dressing for the occasion.
Dress For Success
Let’s get Naoe a Kosode so she can attend the tea ceremony. To find a dress merchant, head to the location I’ve shown above on the dockside of Sakai.
The dressmaker explains that her latestbatch of silk is being held captive by pirates on a nearby ship, and unless there’s another shipment, she can’t make anything on short notice. Naoe happily volunteers to bring the batch back.
Swim or use the nearby dinghy to get to the far-most brigade on the map. There should only be a few enemies, along with a brute opponent that’ll pose the most problems here in combat.
You can greatly damage the enemies and the brute by shooting the explosive jars on the deck with your kunai.
Defeat all the enemies and loot the chest containing the Bale of Silk and the wood resources lying around.
Return to the dress merchant, and she’ll craft a beautiful Black Silk Kosode, completing the Dress for Success sub-quest. We’re almost ready for the tea ceremony.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Is Getting A Prequel Manga
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is officially getting a prequel in the form of a manga series!
The Perfect Gift
Learning the right etiquette and mannerisms for a tea ceremony is crucial,so your next step is to find a tea merchant in northern Sakai, at the location shown in the image above.
Sen No Rikyu is one of the best tea merchants around. He has such a passion for the ceremony’s history that he’s willing to teach Naoe everything—even letting her pick a gift to give to Sokyu.
One important detail to note:since I’m playing in canon mode, there seems to be a choice when picking between the three gifts.
Naoe automatically chooses the tea ladle here, but I believe it won’t impact the quest if you choose the gift yourself.
The Tea Ceremony
Once you’re ready, attend the Imai Sokyu’s Tea Ceremony, and you’ll be granted an audience with him where he talks to Naoe about his esteemed reputation in the trading scene.
After the cutscene and a brief appearance by Lord Mitsuhide, you’ll now be in the garden, where you can talk to three womenattending the ceremony.
Here’s the kicker: one of these three women is the Golden Teppo. All three have varying personalities and demeanors towards Naoe, but one has ties to the Onryo.
You’ve got the elegant Otama, who shows some hostility against and a craving to kill Naoe, and the weary yet noble Lady Satoko, who strives to deliver justice by hunting down bandits.
And then there’s Wakasa,a woman who has her sights set on Sakai and is already “a legend in the making” around these parts.
After you’ve talked to and received your first impressions of all three women, the tea ceremony will commence with a long cutscene involving Naoe, the three guests, and Imai Sokyu.
Assassinating The Golden Teppo
Post-ceremony, the identity of the Golden Teppo is automatically revealed to us as Naoe makes her deductions from afar; it’s Wakasa.
She admits to Naoe that their true selves are being hidden in public and invites us to talk privately with the masks dropped. It looks like a trap, but it’s as good a chance as any to take her out.
In her humble abode, Wakasa will pace around a bit while trying to convince Naoe to join her side and rule Sakai and the lands beyond together.
To complete the assassination of Wakasa, grab the teppo rifle from the wall showcase as shown in the image. This will trigger the cutscene where Naoe shoots Wakasa dead in the head.
For successfully completing the Golden Teppo assassination in the Drive the Point Home quest, you’ll receive the following rewards:
