InAssassin’s Creed Mirage, players will come across the Observatory near the northern edge of theAbbasiyah District. Not only does this structure act as a View Point to uncover part of the map, but you’ll also need to enter it to complete the ‘A Life’s Work’ side quest. However, entry to the Observatory is blocked in more ways than one.

As you reach the vicinity of the Observatory, you’ll hear the voice of a scholar, Al-Mahani, calling out to help. Talk to him, and he will reveal that he is on death’s door and needs your help in retrieving his life’s work from the Observatory. Al-Mahani has separated his life’s work into three pages, and you’ll need to find all three to complete thisTale of Baghdad. Two of the pages are inside the Observatory.

How To Open The Barred Door In The Observatory
The first page is hidden on the lower floors of the Observatory, but thedoor is barred from the insidewith seemingly no point of entry. To enter, you will need todestroy the beam blocking the doorfrom the outside.
Circle around the structure while keepingEagle Visionactive, and you’ll seea windowto peek inside the room, but it’s a little high up, and you can’t get a straight shot at the blockade.
To get level with the window,use the scaffold by the walland move it as close as possible to the window. Climb on top anduse yourthrowing knifeto destroy the blockadethrough the gap in the window (you don’t need theincreased distance upgrade). Now, you can go back to the main entrance andenterinside. You’ll find a few lootable containers and thefirst page of Al-Mahani’s life’s work.

How To Reach The Top Of The Observatory
The wall of the Observatory has spiked fences, preventingBasimfrom finding a straight way to the top. First, you’ll need toreach the balconyby using the wooden beams just above the barred door and shuffling to the right.
On the balcony, you’ll seea bookshelf that can be moved. Push it as close to the metal fence as it will go and climb on top of it. This will allow you to reach thetop of the Observatory. You’ll find Al-Mahani’s second page on the desk in front of thelarge Planetary globe.
Where To Find The Third Page
The third page is located on the terrace directly to the left of the barred door near some scholars.The page is out in the open, but as you approach it, the wind will blow it away.Hurry after it, and you’ll see itland on another terrace nearby. Interact with the page to get your hands on the final piece of the puzzle.
If you’ve lost track of the page, you canuse eagle vision, and it will be highlighted in bright yellow.
How To Complete ‘A Life’s Work’
After obtaining all three pages,return to Al-Mahani, and you’ll find he has passed away while you were out collecting pages. His estranged son appears hunched over him, grieving his loss.Talk to the son, and Basim will reveal what has transpired so far. Al-Mahani’s son will ask if his father gave more importance to his life’s work or the relationship with his son. Depending on your answer, he will either be angry at you or his father and storm away.It doesn’t matter what you choosehere. This will mark this side quest complete and award youoneskill point.
