One Arrowhead staff member has revealed that the studio has plans for the game that extend for years, which should be good news for helldivers around the world.

Over on the officialHelldivers 2 Discord channel, Arrowhead community manager Katherine “Baskinator” Baskin, was asked how much she knows about the game’s future. Baskin replied with (viaGamesRadar), “I know what’s coming for Helldivers for the next few years”
She did add that nothing is set in stone yet, and this is “subject to change,” which is what usually happens with long-term plans.
Baskin added, It’s important that I know, so I can help develop and engage the community alongside whatever we’re doing," which makes a lot of sense, given how cheeky and smart Helldivers 2’s teases and reveals have been.
What’s planned might be something special, as Baskin noted how long she’s been waiting for some of these plans to come to fruition. “I’ve been working on this project for years and I have been waiting for some of this stuff since I started with the company.”

While Baskin obviously can’t divulge what she knows, the future looks bright for Helldivers 2. That said, if they have content planned for years, doe this mean we won’t be getting a sequel anytime soon? WIth how much support the studio has given the game, I somehow doubt the player base is itching for a sequel.
If you’re an Xbox Series X|S gamer, you’ll be glad to know that Helldivers 2will finally be released on Xbox platforms this AugustJustdon’t expect it to be on Game Pass, like, ever.
Another thing fans can look forward tois a movie adaptation of Helldivers 2, which is being worked on by Sony, though details surrounding that are still a mystery.
