Clearly, the actor has put in the work to reach where he is today.

However, just like any other great name in the film industry, Pedro Pascal had to start from the bottom and work his way up. Things changed for him blissfully when he got the part of Oberyn Martell inGame of Thrones. While his character died a gruesome death, his career was finally alive and kicking. Unfortunately, that didn’t end too well for him as he died at the hands of Clegane in one of the worst and most disturbingGoTdeaths ever.
After the career-changing role, Pascal logged ontoRedditfor an ‘Ask me Anything’ session.

During the Q&A session between him andGoTfans, someone asked Pascal, “Seeing as you are relatively new on Game of Thrones, have you had any strange/funny fan encounters yet?”
To this, theFantastic Fouractor recalled the time he was rehearsing for the Shakespearean play,Much Ado About Nothing,in which he played the role of Don John. He stated how people would come up to him and ask“Are you the guy on Game of Thrones?”,giving him a taste of the fame that was to come.

That’s when he came across a man trying to get signatures on a petition or something. If you’ve had the privilege of coming across some of them, you’ll know that the one thing they are really good at is grabbing people’s attention.
So, when Pascal came near him, the man commented on how the actor looked like Oberyn from the fantasy drama. When he realized that it was in fact Pascal, he decided to leave him alone.

Recently I had an hour break and was walking near Union Square to go to Barnes & Noble, and there was somebody trying to sign people up for something, trying to get them to talk to him on the street, and the guy was trying to get people’s attention and he said to me ‘And YOU sir, look like Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones!’ and I stopped in my tracks for a second and didn’t know what to say, and he said ‘Holy Sh*t, you ARE Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones’ and then he left me alone. Haha. And let me go to Barnes & Nobel!
