Prominent YouTuber Casey Neistat seems to love the new Apple Vision Pro. The mixed reality system allows users to immerse their digital world into the real world. Announced in 2023, the system was recently released for consumers in the United States. Many were seen wearing VR-like headsets on the streets, being the subject of countless memes.

Casey Neistat reviewed the device while walking on the streets of New York. The YouTube personality seemed to love the device as he hopped from different areas in the city, using the headset to interact with the digital world while still being present. Neistat, however, pointed to one flaw in the device. He mentioned that the device would not work effectively if one moved around a lot.
Casey Neistat Loved the New Apple Vision Pro
While VR has been developing in better ways in the past few years, the newApple Vision Proseems to have changed the game. The ‘mixed reality’ headset was announced in 2023 and was launched earlier this week in the United States. The headset allows users to access their digital world while still being in reality through VR-like glasses.
YouTuber Casey Neistat was one among the many content creators who used the headset and put out a review. The video saw Neistat walking and skateboarding through the streets of New York while wearing the headset and accessing different applications. He went to Times Square, the subway, and a doughnut shop while using the Apple Vision Pro.

Neistat expressed his love for the device by putting out an X post with the caption, ‘Vision Pro isn’t just great, it’s the single greatest piece of tech I’ve ever used’. He also expressed how impressed he was with the device in hisreview,
“The idea that I can have my complete online world exist in the real world is what makes this feel bigger than AR and VR. I have the Oculus, it’s great, but it definitely feels like a toy. This feels like a little glimpse into the future of what computing could be like down the road.”

Casey Neistat was met with many stares and laughs by random passers while he was wearing the headset in the video. The device has only been released in the USA and costs $3,499.

Casey Neistat Points Out The Apple Vision Pro’s One Flaw
In his detailed review, Case Neistat wore the Apple Vision Pro headset around New York. He watched videos, accessed his notes, and even responded to a text message while climbing the stairs from the subway station. Neistat seemed to be able to do all these operations seamlessly, much like a phone. He reportedly walked around the city for the entire day.
However, the device is still not perfect. The YouTuber pointed out that the device would stop working and would not be able to track the movement if he was constantly moving. He proved this when his digital window disappeared when he started walking and then on the subway. He said,

“While you’re moving, this thing comes up that says, ‘Tracking failed’. It doesn’t track if you’re moving a lot. It doesn’t have another for the sensors to lock onto. It doesn’t know where to put stuff…You cannot use windows if there is a lot of kinetic movement. I imagine it works in an airplane because they are so steady.”
He demonstrated it by opening up a window of Apple TV when the subway train had stopped. The moment the train began to move, the window seemed to disappear in the direction of the train’s movement. However, many in Neistat’sX (formerly Twitter)pointed out that he had to put his Apple Vision Pro on travel mode for it to work well on trains.
