Despite somerecent issues with the game’s PS4 version, EA and BioWare’sAnthemhas once again taken home the top spot on the weekly video game sales chart in the UK.
In a week of few notable releases, it’s not too surprising thatAnthemonce again was at the top of the chart. That being said though,GamesIndustry.bizreports that sales fell off by 71% in its second week. Still, even with the drop off it still managed to beat outFIFA 19, which again found its way to the second position. Ubisoft’sFar Cry New Dawnonce again dipped by one spot again this week now sitting at number three.
As for new releases,The LEGO Movie 2 Videogamewas the best debut of the week coming in at number four on the chart.Dirt Rally 2.0wasn’t much further behind debuting at number six whileTrials Rising: Gold Editionrounded out the top 10.
Likely the most disappointing new release of the week though was that of Koei Tecmo’sDead or Alive 6. The latest entry in the long-runningDOAseries wasn’t even able to crack the top twenty in its first week and slotted in at 21st overall. This is surely the start that Koei Tecmo was not looking for out of the gate but we’ll have to wait and see how it fares in other regions over time.
