What is the Importance of a Chair inSuzume?
Produced by CoMix Wave Films and distributed by Toho,Suzumeis a 2022 Japanese animated coming-of-age fantasy adventure film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami served as inspiration forSuzume. With global box office receipts exceeding $323 million, the movie has emerged as the fourth highest-grossing film of 2022 and the fourth highest-grossing Japanese film ever.
The film revolves around two main characters: Suzume and Souta, a “closer” whose responsibility it is to lock doors to the Ever-After, which leads to the realm of the afterlife. This is because an object known as the “worm” is always attempting to break free from the door, which sets off earthquakes in Japan.

They come upon a talking cat that is the keystone guarding the worm. It turns Souta into a chair with a single flick of its magical tail. Souta is still able to move and speak as a chair, but since becoming one, he has been reduced to the status of a new keystone and is gradually losing his humanity.

The important question is, did Harrison Ford KNOW he was holding the chair from Suzume? Or did you just hand a bewildered old man a chair and take a picture of him??https://t.co/Z4WPfBGo5g
