The only content added to the game on regular basis is the Tera Raid Battle events, which bring special types of Pokemon to the Paldea region for a limited time. However, this is going to be changing, as the Area Zero DLC will add new challenges, adventures, Pokemon encounters, and uniform sets later this year.

Apart from a new way to explore Paldea being added to Scarlet and Violet, it was revealed that over 230 returning Pokemon will be made available through both DLC parts, with more yet to be announced. Milotic, Yanma, and Ninetales will make their debut in the game with the first part, while the likes of Zebstrika, Dewgong, Espurr, and Metagross will be added with the second part called The Indigo Disk.

Although there are a few missing, the near-complete list of returning Pokemon was discovered by Twitter usermattyoukanaafter Game Freak deleted Pokedex entries from the system. It includes both Pokemon from past generations that were not included in the game and new legendaries like Ogerpon and Terapagos. Feebas, Grubbin, Charjabug, Seedot, Nuzleaf, Vulpix, Metang, Seel, Blitzle, Milcery, and Whimsicott are also among Pokemon that will make their debut with either The Indigo Disk or The Teal Mask.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has also announced the Tera Raid Event of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, which will run from February 27th through to March 12th. As players will have seen during the past Tera Raids, the Pokemon encountered will be version dependent. Pokemon Scarlet players can encounter Walking Wake, while Pokemon Violet players can take on Iron Leaves.
