Henry Cavillhas found himself surrounded by numerous controversies over the years. However, one of his most controversial moments was when he gave an interview toGQ Australiaand expressed his feelings about the groundbreaking #MeToo movement and his fears of being misunderstood by women due to the issue.

While this was enough to draw the anger of fans, his next statement caused the most controversy,
“It’s very difficult to do that if there are certain rules in place. Because then it’s like: ‘Well, I don’t want to go up and talk to her, because I’m going to be called a r-pist or something’.”

“Insensitivity was absolutely not my intention. In light of this, I would just like to clarify and confirm to all that I have always and will continue to hold women in the highest regard, no matter the type of relationship, whether it be friendship, professional or a significant other.”
Adding on that he never intended to disrespect anyone, the actor and his many fans and admirers have since moved on from the incident, one that might have ended his career for good.
