The name of a live-action adaptation of an anime series used to make fans’ hearts jump out of their ribcage, not out of excitement but out of fear. Only the recent success of Netflix’sOne Piecehas pacified fans, and now an upcomingNarutolive-action movie has been announced as well.

Fans have mixed feelings towards it due to the pre-existing anime series being extremely well-animated. But given that the director of the movie is Destin Daniel Cretton, fans want to be hopeful for the result.
Will theNarutoLive Action Movie do Justice to the Anime’s Fluid Combat Choreography?
Narutois famous for a lot of things, but most of all for its fight choreographies.Masashi Kishimotocreated some truly extraordinary battle scenes in his manga. It is extremely hard to make fans envision battles via chapter panels, however, the author ofNarutowas able to achieve exactly that. Studio Pierrot did the series justice by replicating the fight sequences well.

In fact, some battles in the anime are so well done that they are considered legendary fights in the history of the industry. Of course, you cannot forget thePain Vs. Narutobattle, which is a prime example of fluid combat. After Naruto lost control of his anger and attained the six-tail transformation, the battle quickly turned into a bloodbath. Pain and Naruto’s bodies bent like fluids due to the intense attacks, and the sequence was a pleasure to watch.
While alive-action adaptationis the best opportunity to refresh the series with new effects, inaccurate CGI can backfire on the movie. Rather than using flashy CGI, it might be best to avoid such combat scenes entirely or to redo them in a more realistic manner. A more grounded version will not only give fans a fresh scene to gape at but it will also safeguard the movie from massive failures.

Destin Daniel Cretton Might be the Knight in Shining Armor for theNarutoLive-Action Movie
AsNarutois headed towards the big screen, the one in charge of the production is Destin Daniel Cretton, the co-writer and director ofShang-Chi.Cretton will helm the Naruto live-actionas its director.Shang-Chiis considered one of the best fighters in the Marvel universe, and its action sequences have been praised since its debut.
If you have watched the movie, you must remember the bus fight scene between the protagonist and Razor Fist. The action is so fluid that it’s hard to blink in between. Andy Cheng, the action director ofShang-Chi, is not involved with theNarutomovie, but Cretton might be able to figure out how to bend the plot to his advantage.

Masashi Kishimoto himself considers Cretton to be the perfect director forNaruto, so fans can only expect the best from him.
