Atlus never seems to be able to keep its Persona remakes under wraps.
During the lead-up to the announcement of Persona 3 Reload, there was a series of leaks and rumors about it being planned,or even far into development, just before it was finally announced.

The same has been going on withthe rumored Persona 4 remake, but one of our most definitive pieces of evidence yet has just shown up in the form of a social media post from one of the original game’s voice actors.
Persona 4 Golden: 15 Best Personas, Ranked
Having incredibly strong personas will make this murder mystery a cake-walk, here are the best personas you can get in Persona 4 Golden.
It comes from Yuri Lowenthal, the original English voice actor for Yosuke Hanamura, onBluesky, saying that he will not be returning to voice Yosuke in the Persona 4 remake, since the developers seemingly “don’t want him to come back,” even after he might have even begged them. The live post, as seen here, was quickly deleted.

A New Voice Cast Again?
Assuming Lowenthal isn’t just messing with us, his post could point to the Persona 4 remake going the same way as Persona 3 Reload andrecasting its entire character roster.
It wouldn’t be the first time some Persona 4 characters have changed their English voice actors; Chie and Teddie were both recast in Persona 4 Golden, Kanji changed voice actors halfway through Persona 4’s first anime adaptation, and Rise got the same treatment in Persona 4 Dancing All Night.

While the cast we know and love not returning for a remake would be disappointing, giving newer, younger voice actors the chance to shine in a major project like a remake of a game with Persona 4’s pedigree is always good too.
9 Best Games Where You Are The Chosen One
There’s a problem that needs solving, and these heroes have been specially selected to handle it.
The timing of the Persona 4 remake leaks seems to mostly line up with the leaks about Persona 3 Reload before its announcement. We’ve been seeing bits and pieces over the last few months, around the same time of year as with Persona 3, and with that game, it ultimately led up to a reveal at that year’s Xbox Games Showcase in June.

This year, the Xbox Games Showcase is on June 8, so we won’t have long to wait to see if history repeats itself.
