Fortnite‘s Chapter 5 Season 4 has just come out with a bang. This time the collaboration is with Marvel. Players will look out to outclass others with the new season and get that sweet Victory Royale.

While nothing can be a substitute for skills, knowing which weapons to have in your loadout can set you apart. These are the top 9 weapons you should actively look for to demolish your opponents and hit the griddy without care.
#9 Gatekeeper Shotgun
The Gatekeeper Shotgun returns inFortniteChapter 5, Season 4. Unlike some other shotguns on this list, this doesn’t have a pump action between shots and is fully automatic.
Fortnite Teases the Arrival of Marvel’s First Family in Fantastic Fashion
With a reload time of 2.75 seconds, the gun reloads a little sluggishly and has a magazine size of 3, so carrying a good secondary weapon that has a bigger magazine size is a good idea. Regardless, using this is a no-brainer when in close quarters for an easy kill.
#8Striker Assault Rifle
Another unvaulted weapon on the list, there is a reason why the Tactical Assault rifle is considered the All-Terrain Vehicle of Guns inFortnite. Now, it isn’t as effective in terms of firepower as the others, but its rate of fire makes up for it.

It has an incredibly sloth-like reload time of 3.52 seconds unless you find its rare version so tread carefully. However, it truly shines at medium-range and is half-decent at long-range, too.
#7 Hammer Pump Shotgun
The big daddy of shotguns, the Hammer Pump is another one to come out of the vault inFortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. One of the most lethal weapons at short range, it deals insane damage.

Its magazine size is also twofold of the Gatekeeper Shotgun. However, only go for it when you need to finish the job as when you unload its full mag, it will slow you down by almost six seconds when you attempt to reload.
#6 Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets
With Season 4 titledAbsolute Doom, it wouldn’t have made sense to not include a weapon from Victor Von Doom’s arsenal. TheMythic weapon certainly looks great but does very little damage.
Fortnite Reportedly Returns to Chapter 2 in Upcoming Fortnite OG 2, and the Release Date is Close
However, if one loves to spam jump and loves to rely on snappy movement, the Arcane Gauntlet’s secondary ability will fit them like a glove (pun intended). Also, there is no hassle to reload.
#5 Hyper SMG
A personal favorite forForniteplayers who love weapons with minimal recoil and a rapid rate of fire, Hyper SMG hits the sweet spot in close-quarter combat. With a mind-boggling Damage Per Second of 156, the weapon should be at your loadout at all times.
Fortnite’s Most Hated Chapter 5 Season 3 Addition is Being Praised in a Backwards Show of Love
It also reloads in 2 seconds and has a magazine size of 30. So if you want to pump your enemy full of lead, this is your gun.
#4 Striker Burst Rifle
The new weapon added toFortnitewith Season 4 has a custom sight allowing you to ambush if you are the kind of player who camps a lot. It is a burst fire with 20 rounds so recoil is also not a problem.
Dr Doom’s Disgusting Chapter 5 Season 4 Detail in Fortnite Proves He’s the Villain We’ve Needed for Years
Time your shots right, aim at the enemy’s upper torso and head, and let the Striker Burst Rifle do its magic, it won’t disappoint. However, don’t expect quick one-shots as it only has a damage of 29.
#3 Sovereign Shotgun
Another new addition, the Sovereign shotgun is as badass as it sounds. Combining the best parts of the Gatekeeper and the Hammer Pump. It fires rapidly and pierces through its target like a hot knife through butter, with its 83-rated damage.
“Kind of infuriating because…”: Fortnite’s Biggest Day in its History is Almost Upon Us, and It Has Nothing to Do With Doom
A magazine size of six, it is a dream to wield and should be kept in one’s loadout for as long as possible. However, as was the case with Hammer Pump keeping a good secondary will make one fly through the map as the Sovereign will set you back by 6 seconds while reloading.
#2 Combat Assault Rifle
Now unvaulted for everyone to loot inFortniteChapter 5 Season 4, the Combat Assault Rifle is rightly defined in the game as ‘incredibly powerful but difficult to master’. The weapon has a tight spread and it kicks like a horse so firing in bursts is your best bet.
“Fortnite can now return…”: Huge Win for Epic as Fortnite is Finally on the Way Back
However, the damage per second numbers for the Combat Assault Rifle does not disappoint at all. So, once you get used to its tough love, you might actively look for it in every match.
#1 Captain America’s Shield
The only uncategorized item in this list, the vibranium shield returns along with War Machine items in Chapter 5 Season 4. Captain America’s shield is an item that is incredibly hard to find inFortniteChapter 5 Season 4. Just like how Captain Rogers tosses it towards enemies to deal damage, one can do the same thing and channel their inner Super Soldier.
The shield deals a whopping 60 damage to players and 100 damage to structures, meaning the vibranium in it will be able to demolish almost anything in between. It was unvaulted in update 9.00 but now, with update 31.00 it can be found and once you get your hands on it, it’s mayhem.

Which one of the unvaulted weapons inFortniteChapter 5 Season 4 are you the happiest about? And which new weapon are you raring to try? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
