TheMetroidvaniagenre is notoriously filled with gatekeepers in the form of thehardest bosses, but not every boss fight is worth pushing your limits for.

Some of these bosses offer you an easy win, posing little to no threat on the road to victory.

10 Metroidvania Hidden Gems You Need To Play

Hollow Knight is great and all, but there’s life beyond Hallownest, I assure you.

Even though such boss fights can be underwhelming for those seekingchallenging Metroidvania experiences, trust me, it is satisfyingly rewarding to defeat a boss in the first instance with no sweat.

So, if you’re looking for a fight where it’s impossible to lose, check out these pushover Metroidvania bosses who won’t fail to make you laugh at their difficulty.

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Starting this list is Count Vlad Tepes Dracula, the recurring and main antagonist ofCastlevania: Symphony of the Knight, who makes every boss fight with him a piece of cake.

Above all, it compels you to think of creative ways to beat him quicker with no hits.

AndSOTN’s prologue makes it clear by rewarding youbonuses on all the starting statsif you manage to kill him in less than a minute.

When fighting Dracula as a final boss later on, you can use the Crissaegrim sword or cast the Soul Steals spell to destroy this bloodsucking monster in seconds.

Just remember to constantly dodge his attacks and keep moving throughout the battle.

9The Sodden Knight

Salt and Sanctuary

Although some might disagree with the inclusion of The Sodden Knight fromSalt and Sanctuary, it fits the bill for numerous reasons.

For aMetroidvania Soulslike, this boss isridiculously easy to beat, setting the premise as an excellent introduction to bosses.

athetos boss in axiom verge boss arena

Having a giant sword and a bulky body, the Sodden Knight appears to be intimidating at first, but this turns out to be his weakness, slowing down all his moves.

Regardless of your classes and builds, it’s relatively easy to win this boss fight, as it only requires parrying and jumping over his sword slashes.

While Sodden Knight’s lightning shockwave attack can be problematic in close encounters, dodging it with a jump isn’t a challenge.

8Concierge

Dead Cells

The Concierge is the first-tier introductory boss ofDead Cells, abrutal roguelike Metroidvania title. While this boss can be slightly tricky, it is easily overpowered, earning a rightful spot on the list.

The Concierge showcases a long wind-up moveset of four attacks, but thankfully, all of them are predictable.

Once you get a hook on its attack pattern, every incoming offensive attack can be parried, dodged, and blocked.

9 Metroidvania Sequels Better Than The Original

Metroidvania sequels are pretty rare, but sometimes, they are even better than their predecessors.

The key is to stay out of the range of the Concierge while spamming long-ranged attacks and planting bombs or spiked boots to stun it.

While you may have some trouble if you are abeginner toDead Cellsor the genre, it’s viable to kill this boss without taking any damage.

Axiom Verge

I believeAxiom Vergeis easier compared to its sequel, and Athetos helps my argument by being a fairly disappointing boss for the final battle.

That’s because he doesn’t even fight you and rather controls the boss arena by deploying his Donaught minions for all three waves.

Athetos can summon a maximum of three Donaughts in every wave, but their attack patterns remain the same throughout the battle.

Considering you encounter Athetos with all the upgrades and weapons, wiping out thisendgame bossis simply a prolonged test of survival.

What makes it fun is that you will find yourself figuring out ways to beat him faster and more effortlessly on multiple playthroughs.

6Vengefly King

Hollow Knight

Unlike the morevengeful bossesinHollow Knight, infamous for their punishing attack patterns and colossal health pools, Vengeful King makes the battle a walk in the park.

What makes it so incredibly easy is that this stupid moth only has two attacks throughout the boss fight, and neither packs a punch to take you down.

Dashing sideways, Vengefly King throws in lunging swooping attacks and can summon minion versions of itself, bringing a maximum of four into the fight.

You can instantly get rid of these small-sized flies without any hassles, but if you are facing problems dealing with their king, don’t forget to heal.

Yoku’s Island Express

As one of the most wholesome Metroidvania pinball platformers,Yoku’s Island Expressfeatures exceptionally easy bosses, but Screetch is the easiest boss you will face throughout the progression.

All you need is to keep destroying the nearby crystals, create an opening, and target the boss’s weak spot by hitting it with pinballs.

And the best part about this pinball boss battle is that you even have three red NPCs in the form of pint-sized balls to help you win it faster.

With no time limit and more help, there is no chance you’re able to lose this fight, making it a laughably simple boss fight.

4Grave Crawler

The roster of this charming Metroidvania title is filled with moderately tough bosses; yet,Grave Crawleris a joke you don’t need to worry about.

In the wholesome world of Islets, this bulk-sized skull creature is the first boss you will face in a multiphased battle.

Boasting a simple attack pattern, Grave Crawler has a slim chance of defeating you, let alone causing you serious damage.

Sometimes, the credits are only just the beginning

Throughout the fight, Grave Crawler jumps across the arena in an attempt to crush you and can summon several minions, including radishes, birds, pillars, and projectiles.

However, its sluggish moveset and tiny damage output make it the mildest inconvenience in Islets, cracking me up even for an introductory battle.

Guacamelee!

Despite most final bosses tending to be a fitting challenge, Calaca inGuacamelee!provides comic relief when it comes to difficulty.

Honestly, this former greatest Charro personality is an absolute pushover boss due to his predictive attack patterns and janky boss scaling.

If it wasn’t a cakewalk already, you could defeat Calaca’s second transformation by turning into a chicken and triggering a glitch, making him idle while letting you beat him senseless.

It would be a lie to say taking Calaca down as the last obstacle in Guacamelee feels the slightest difficulty throughout both phases.

2Willow Stone

Ori And The Will Of The Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wispsis a Metroidvania platformer known for boss battles that test your mettle.

However, defeating Willow Stone requires no such thing, as it’s so weak that some players don’t even consider it a boss.

This boss was a major letdown for someone like me looking for a warm-up challenge before the final battle, giving no time to practice for Shriek.

Willow Stone can pose a threat only if you want to beat this boss in less than five seconds or with your eyes closed.

Otherwise, you can take it down by simply jumping around its lair and targeting its core on your first try.

Generally speaking, the first bosses you encounter in most Metroidvania games are more of a tutorial than a challenge itself.

However, Wendigo fromChasmmakes me chuckle on every run due to its lack of brawn and brain.

Wendigo can pounce at you with melee strikes, jump over the ceiling to throw boulders, and even teleport to surprise attack you, but despite that, this boss fight is hilariously easy.

Case in point, I couldn’t hold my laughter as it stunned itself by hitting the walls whenever I dodged its charging attacks for the first time.

While Wendigo tries to deal damage using varied and aggressive attacks, none make it impossible to take down this creature, even in hard mode.
