10Wugtrio Ex
Illustration Rare
If you were partial to the collection of Worms games growing up, or the multicolored candies, this full-art illustration of Wugtrio may give you a nostalgia shot. The Pokemon are grouped in purple and pink trios sprouting up from rocks, and it’s certainly the most comical card on this list thanks to their expressions.
Wugtrio ex is a great way to kick off the best cards list for its colorful and whimsical nature. It’s by no means a rare card with its under $10market price, but it stands as one of the more attractive cards in the set.

9Miraidon Ex
Hyper Rare
Paldean Fates serves up six Gold cards in the set, including the rare Chien-Pao, but the Miraidon ex card is the best one, artistically speaking. The towering perception of the Pokemon and its general shape makes great use of the negative space, and the gold and blue color palette is extremely appealing to the eye.
Where the Wugtrio ex card excels in its lighthearted tone, Miraidon ex surpasses with its grand stature. The Gold card has a much highermarket price, but it shouldn’t be impossible to pull from an Elite Trainer Box or Booster Bundle.

Tandem Unit
Special Illustration
Time for another nostalgia hit through this Clive special illustration card, which mimics the style of the Where’s Waldo? books. The Supporter with the Johnny Bravo-styled quiff can be seen poking out from behind a tree, surrounded by other characters and Pokemon to make him blend into the full canvas.
Despite the Miraidon ex card being visually striking, there is a lot to marvel at in this Clive card with a highmarket price, and the busy spread holds your attention much longer than the Gold illustration. Similar to Where’s Waldo?, you can also turn observing this card into a game of your own by trying to identify all the characters and Pokemon on display.

Your opponent reveals their hand. Draw 2 cards for each Supporter card you find there.
7Gardevoir Ex
The first of three Special Illustration Rares in the set is Gardevoir ex, drawn majestically in the center of the card planted within an icy setting. Holding a dance-like pose, you can almost view this illustration in motion thanks to the artistry, and the blue and white color palette brings this picturesque card to life.
While the Clive card was a fun, almost interactive experience, the Gardevoir ex entry is the first piece of artwork on this list that could be framed in your home, but it is one of the rarer cards on themarketplace. To the uninitiated, it could almost pass as a piece of abstract art with a peculiar character waltzing through the focal point.

Miracle Force
6Moonlit Hill
The first and only Stadium card on this list has earned its place predominantly because of the advantage it gives players rocking Gardevoir ex decks. By offering an extra Psychic Energy to boost your Pokemon and healing 30 damage from each of them with Psychic Embrace, Moonlit Hill is fantastic for tabletop players and not just a pretty picture.
I Pulled Seven Baby Shinies From The New Paldean Fates Pokemon TCG Set
119 baby shinies ahoy!
That being said, the ethereal artwork gracing this Stadium card is another reason why this marks the halfway point on this list. Combining the moonlit glow with the gameplay perks gives this card a slight edge over Gardevoir ex, and with a lowmarket price, you’re bound to pull a few of these.
Once during each player’s turn, that play may discard a Basic P Energy from their hand in order to heal 30 damage from each of their Pokemon.
Pawmi is a delightful full-art card that mixes the artist’s design with lifelike environments to make it appear as though these Pokemon live in the real world. The pink Lightning-type is seen nestled within a hollowed tree trunk surrounded by its orange friends while they all take a well-deserved rest for being so cherubic.
Several Pokemon fans are, by default, suckers for cute creatures thanks to years of adorable Pokemon designs, which is why Pawmi takes the win over Moonlit Hill. We’re going to carefully move onto the 4th entry, so we don’t disturb their woodland nap, but thanks to the lowmarket price, you can easily nab a Pawmi for yourself.
Toss / Elekick
4Charizard Ex
With amarket priceof $250 at the time of writing, this Charizard ex card is the rarest pull in Paldean Fates — which is to be expected, considering how popular the dragon is. The Special Illustration Rare is a busy print boasting a broken glass effect taking the shape of the Pokemon through red, purple, blue, and green shards.
This unique style is an eye-catcher, and therefore, slightly trumps the cute aesthetic of the Pawmi card. The chance of pulling this card into your collection is extremely rare, but avid card collectors should have a decent shot, and the vibrant design is worthy of the higher price tag.
Infernal Reign / Burning Darkness
The third Special Illustration Rare on this list belongs to the Mew ex card, which is another high-priced entry on themarketplace. Flaunting a childlike design, Mew is seen floating above a green hill with severalKanto Pokemonlooking on while the psychic creature performs an ability — and manages to look so sweet doing it.
If you thought Pawmi was irresistible, you have no chance around Mew. The mythical Pokemon is a favorite among many collectors, and the unique design of the card mixed with its pastel colors and precious expression gives it an extra special something over the Charizard ex card.
Genome Hacking
This card may only be a Promo card, but it’s a stunning addition to the overall Paldean Fates set. The well-liked and often eerie Pokemon, Mimikyu, is wrapped in a patchwork blanket by its companion, and it’s the most intriguing card on this list and one of the scariest cards to come out in recent years.
The card has so much character, it could serve as inspiration for a Creepypasta story since the entire canvas is filled with a warm glow — except for the deranged Pokemon. Mew was a stellar, cute entry, but something is haunting and intriguing about this Promo card that sits worthy in second place.
Ghost Eye / Safeguard
Taking the number one spot on our list of the best Paldean Fates cards is Palafin, and with a lowmarket price, you should have no problem bagging this entry. TheWater-type Pokemonis shown standing on top of a stalagmite underwater, surrounded by a rainbow hue and lots of sea creatures.
What makes this artwork so stunning is the color palette that serves up a science-fiction vibe, with excellent lighting, and crystal-clear artistry that tricks you into thinking it’s a photograph. The Mimikyu card brought a sinister tone to the set, but it’s hero time with Palafin, who looks primed and ready to take on the greatest foe alongside Aquaman.
