Ubisoft’sXDefiant, the free-to-play shooter title, has finally launched after years of waiting, and it has had a strong start. The game takes inspiration from various online shooters and brings the best features to provide an amazing first-person shooter experience to players.

XDefiant may get a faction from the Crew franchise.

The game also features unique factions that have different playable characters from various Ubisoft franchises. A lot of new factions will be coming to the game in the future, and they include factions from one franchise from the publisher, which was very unlikely to be seen in the game.

XDefiant’s One Upcoming Faction is from the Most Surprising Franchise

There are currently five factions inXDefiant, and four of them are available to players from the start. These factions are from several popular franchises, includingFar Cry 6,Watch Dogs 2,Tom Clancy’s The Division,Ghost Recon Phantoms, andSplinter Cell.

Even though this list is not yet confirmed and is pretty much“in the air,”as stated by the leaker,XDefiantplayers are questioning how the developers will make it work. The leaker also said that there are nine more factions yet to be named, so there may be many more surprising additions as factions. Players have said thatJust DanceandRiders Republicfactions should come to the game.

XDefiant Has Had a Good Start but It Still Has Problems

XDefiantsaw an amazing launch as the game went to register over one million users in just two and a half hours and over 3 million players in just two days. It also saw around 300,000 concurrent players across the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. More importantly, the game is available via Ubisoft Connect, meaning that the players are having fun in the game.

However, it’s not all good news, asplayers are also facing several issuesin the game, and the biggest one is matchmaking. Players are seeing a lot of wait time before they get a match, and sometimes they are being hit with“Unable to Find Match,”despite the large number of players waiting in the lobby.

The developer has acknowledged this issue, butXDefiantfans who have waited years to get their hands on the game are getting frustrated, and rightly so. It is sure that the issues will be taken care of as fixes are deployed; a highly anticipated game shouldn’t be facing this at the launch.
