I don’t have any strong affinity for theManaseries;Secret of ManaandFinal Fantasy Adventure(a.k.a.Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaidenin Japan) were way out of my generation, and the series has never made enough of a push in the west for me to pay any mind towards. That changed quickly though when Square Enixpresented a remakeofTrials of Manaas well as an immediate western release of the once Japan-exclusiveCollection of Manaon the Nintendo Switch. During E3 2019, I got the chance to check out the newest version ofTrials of Mana,built from the ground up by longtime fans of the series at Square Enix, and it looks like a really fantastic action RPG....

Ubisoft has answered the cries with a new service called Ubisoft Connect, a free service that combines its Uplay and Ubisoft Club services into one. Ubisoft Connect will support cross-play and cross-progression for a multitude of upcoming games.The new service is described as an “ecosystem of players services for Ubisoft games across all platforms” and will launch right next toWatch Dogs Legionon October 29....

After somequiet announcements earlier this year, Valve has today fully revealed the Valve Index, the company’s new virtual reality headset that is slated to release this summer. The Valve Index comes with dual 1440 x 1600 LCD displays for each eye, which is of a much higher quality than that of OLED. The headset also comes with adjustable headphones and multiple points of maneuverability for greater comfort compared to other VR devices....
